SUPPORT A SHARED LEGACY
Celebrate the 250th anniversary of American independence
A venue emblematic of Franco-American history, the Palace of Versailles was the scene of the signature of the Treaty of Paris in 1783 and the beneficiary of John D. Rockefeller Jr.’s decisive patronage over a century later, and has enjoyed the support of its American friends for over a hundred years.
On the occasion of the 250th anniversary of the American Declaration of Independence, the Palace is highlighting this friendship through a unique exhibition of artworks related to this seminal conflict. Some of them are currently undergoing restoration. If you would like to adopt one of them in order to help preserve it, please contact the Patronage Department via the following email address: mecenat@chateauversailles.fr.
Through your donation, you will be participating in the transmission of Franco-American memory and in the prestige of this outstanding world heritage site. Thank you.
